Animation Station Exhibit
Now through June 12/HARTFORD CITY – At Arts Place Blackford County Arts Center. Take a stroll through memory lane at Arts Place Blackford County Arts Center and immerse yourself in a world of animation with works from Disney and Warner Brothers. Hours are 1-6:30 p.m. Tues. & Wed., 3-7 p.m. Thurs. This exhibit is free and open to the public. JCAC Chalk Walk Art Festival
May 17/JASPER – 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center. A fun-filled day of creativity and imagination! Spend the day exploring the world of art at this family-friendly event full of creative and fun activities for the young and young-at-heart. All activities are part of the registration fee. Southern Indiana Renaissance Faire
May 17-18, 24-25/SEYMOUR – 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Swifty Farms. Step back in time to a fairy tale fantasy coming to life in our castle. Come and celebrate, rub elbows with peasants, pirates, vikings, faeries, a princess, duke and duchess, the Queen or thou may even be knighted by the king. Stroll through the village filled with renaissance entertainment, food and drink and unique artisan market. Experience the thrill of chivalry and adventure as knights, jesters, and lords come to life! Round the Fountain Art Fair
May 24/LAFAYETTE – 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the courthouse square. One of the best one-day outdoor art shows in the Midwest. Featuring paintings, sculptures, pottery, photography prints, jewelry, and other media. Admission is free. Supporting fine arts education in seven area public schools, after-hours arts programs, courthouse restoration projects, and public art projects and installations.
