Tulip Festival

Now through May 1/KERHONKSON – At Kelder’s Farm. Doubling over last season, there are to be more than 200 thousand tulips with 100+ varieties in many different colors. Endless photo opportunities and props for the perfect photo. Hayride around the farm to the tulip field. May 3-5/RHINEBACK – At the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. This year’s three-day event features two great car shows: Saturday’s Rod and Custom Dust-Off devoted to hot rods, street rods, customs, race cars, and compact customs/pickups; and Sunday’s show for unmodified antique and classic vehicles manufactured up to 1998. Last year’s first-place award winners will be displayed in the Winner’s Circle. The Swap Meet at Rhinebeck has been a favorite among car collectors from all over the Northeast for years. There are a large number of swap spaces, both outside and inside. New vendors are welcome but get your registration in early; all vendors must have a New York State tax number to participate. May 10-19/ROCHESTER – At Highland Park. 1,200 lilac bushes displaying 500 varieties of lilacs in a floral masterpiece of the deepest purples and purest whites. The festival celebrates the blooming of the largest collection of lilacs in North America. More than 80 bands will provide free entertainment from the Main Stage. There is every type of food you can think of and more, a Lilac 5K/10K, a Special Events Tent that has a Wine Expo and Craft Beer Expo, Garden Battles, exhibitors and vendors, and an award-winning Art in the Park art show. https://roclilacfest.com/
