Through Feb. 9/SARANAC LAKE – One of the oldest winter carnivals in the United States. celebrating all the brilliance of Winter through parades, sports events, fireworks, family gatherings and many other festivities including of course Our Winter Carnival Ice Palace!This year’s theme is Music Legends. The History Hut, located at the Lake Flower Boat Launch on River Street next to the Ice Palace, will display photos and memorabilia of past and present carnivals while the gift shop will sell buttons, posters, t-shirts, mugs and much more carnival related items. Ice Bumper Cars
Through March 20/BUFFALO – At Canalside Buffalo. The popular Ice Bumper Cars will make their return to Canalside this season! FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
Feb. 8-9/LAKE PLACID – 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) will host this competition at the Olympic Jumping Complex. This year’s event will feature both men’s and women’s competition on the large HS 128 meter ski jump with athletes from around the world, including Poland, Slovenia, Norway, Austria, Germany and more. DJ, announcers, games, giveaways, and more will be on hand as these top athletes from around the globe compete for World Cup points.
