Grandfather Mountain Highland Games

July 10-13/LINVILLE – Various times and locations. An annual gathering of Scottish clans celebrating the heritage and history of their ancestry. This four day events offers attendees the opportunity to cheer on the clans as they compete in field games, Scottish music and highland dancing. The Grandfather Mountain Highland Games  has fun for the whole family. Event created to foster and restore interest in traditional dancing, piping, drumming, athletic achievement, music and Gaelic culture, and to establish scholarship funds to assist students from Avery County High School to study at American colleges and universities. https://gmhg.org/schedule/
