The Denton FarmPark Family

While the Denton Farmpark hosts several events throughout the year and are open to welcoming more, the park is only open to the public during these events. They are widely known for their popular Handy Diesel Locomotive brought to the farm in 2006 and restored by staff and volunteers. Other historical farm machinery and equipment are on-site and are a real asset to the annual Southeast Old Threshers Reunion along with the relocation and restoration of several plantation buildings.
Celebrating their 52nd year, The Southeast Old Threshers Reunion has become a national and international event. Visitors from most states and at least one foreign country attend and joins in the fun.
“The Southeast Old Threshers Reunion plays a significant part of the Denton area economy and spreads to hotel and restaurant accommodations in Davidson County,” said Brown Loflin, founder, on the history section of the farm website. “Civic, church and charity organizations benefit from the sale of food and refreshments and other activities, and from contributions by their park for services by volunteers.”
Mr. Loflin passed away in 2019 but the Southeast Old Threshers Reunion continues and grows bigger and better every year.
