Brothers in Blue Fishing Rodeo

May 18-19/CHAUVIN –  12:01 a.m. at the CoCo Marina. The event will be held at CoCo Marina, but you are allowed to fish any publicly-accessible waterways within the State of Louisiana.. Tickets are $25. You will receive a t-shirt and a koozie with your ticket purchase. Even if you don’t plan to fish the rodeo, please consider purchasing a ticket. A $2750 in total prizes will be awarded at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. There will be raffle tickets. More informaiton on their Facebook page. 

Blackberry Festival 

May 18/HOUMA – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Macdonell Children’s Home. This event offers a vibrant experience with live music from 11 AM to 5 PM. Enjoy a variety of vendors and a recipe contest open to the public. Indulge in delicious food and drinks available on-site thank to The Houma Shrine Club & The Helio Foundation. Entrance is free, with a $5 parking fee for onsite parking.
