Feb. 23-March 5/ANCHORAGE – Downtown rendezvous celebrating the pioneering spirit of Alaskans and has been running since 1935. Fur Rondy features a wide selection of fun and wacky events including the Rondy Carnival, snow sculptures, the Grand Parade, the World Championship Sled Dog Race, a zany outhouse race, Running of the Reindeer, snowshoe softball, the blanket toss, and much more. World Ice Art Championships

 

Feb. 17-March 31/FAIRBANKS – At the Tanana Valley Fairgrounds. This event attracts talented ice carvers from around the world.  The event is one of the largest ice art competitions in the world, featuring stunning ice sculptures lit up with colorful lights. Visitors can walk among the sculptures along the sculpture trail and play in the interactive ice playground. Adult tickets are $17. Ages 6 to 18 are $8.
