Dynamic Duos: Art of Collaboration

April 8-May 28/FISH CREEK – The Guenzel Gallery at the Peninsula School of Art. An exhibit for artists who work as pairs. The gallery and opening receptions are free and open to the public. the Guenzel Gallery displays themed exhibitions of nationally recognized artists’ works throughout the year. Automotion Classic Car Show

May 21-22/WISCONSIN DELLS – Opening at 7 a.m., at Olympus Water & Theme Park – 1881 Wisconsin Dells Parkway. Muscle Car. Pony Car. Trailer Queen. Land Yacht. Antique vs. Vintage vs. Classic. Lead Sled. Drophead. Familiar with any of those terms? If yes, you’re probably already a fan of Automotion Classic Car Show and we look forward to welcoming you back. If no, make plans to drive to Wisconsin Dells the weekend of May 21-22, 2022 to learn the lingo from some of the most passionate car folks this side of the Mississippi, a passion that often runs in the family. Some 1,200 classic rides are expected at the 36th Annual Automotion Classic Car Show. There will be music, food, car corral and swap meet too.

Civil War Living History

May 21-22/JANESVILLE – A fun family event from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (1 p.m.  Sunday) held on the grounds of the Milton House Museum. This event allows guests to mingle with Civil War era reenactors, see artillery, infantry and medical demonstrations, and rub elbows with President Abraham Lincoln. You can also play a game of Rounders (a Civil War era version of baseball) with the reenactors and participate in a Living Cemetery Tour. The WI-IL Model Railroad Club will be there on Saturday, and the Milton House Museum will be open for tours.
