The Unseen Art Exhibit

Feb. 3-25/ALEXANDRIA – Del Ra Artisans Gallery. This exhibit reveals what we typically cannot see. Juried by renowned scientist and artist Michal Gavish. Come explore the hidden, under the surface, microscopic, imagined, or dreamt that make life so much richer. Through the exhibit local artists take us to myriad places—in their minds, their dreams, their dives, their experiments, their hopes, and their fears. Is the work of art what the artist intended or what you perceive…or both? The gallery is free, open to the public, and accessible. https://delrayartisans.org/

Boston Marriage

Feb. 2-4, 9-11/ARLINGTON – 8 p.m. at the Theatre On The Run. Anna, mistress to a wealthy gentleman, is visited by Claire, an intimate friend, who dashes Anna’s unspoken hopes by professing her love for another. The ladies must reconcile their shared past, their awkward present, and an even more tenuous future, all the while tormenting Anna’s Scottish maid, Catherine. A young visitor, an errant emerald, a malfunctioning stove, and an aborted seance enliven an afternoon of Victorian-era tea and snarkery, as the sapphic sophisticates trade innuendo and insults. David Mamet as you’ve never seen him before!   Tickets are $25. https://www.dominionstage.org/current-show
