Spring Encampment

April 23-24/MORRISTOWN – Begins at 11 a.m. and conludes at 4 p.m. at the Jockey Hollow Visitor’s Center Historical Park. Hosted by 2nd NJ Regiment Helm’s Co and Morristown National Historical Park.  The special event focuses on the life and times of soldiers and civilians during the Revolutionary War. During the 1779-80 Winter of the Revolutionary War, the countryside around Morristown sheltered the main encampments of the American Continental Army.   The encampment will include infantry and artillery demonstrations, activities for children including a children’s muster where they can learn to drill and march like Revolutionary soldiers.
