Saint Cecilia Cathedral Flower Festival
Jan. 25-26/OMAHA – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sat. 1-4 p.m. Sun. at the Cathedral Cultural Center & Gallery. Breathe in beautiful flowers, hear soothing live music and admire an architectural gem in Omaha. View floral creations made by area designers. This year’s theme is “light.” Take in the splendor of other artwork and the building’s architectural details. Grab a bite before you head back into the cold. Heart City Bull Bash
Feb. 15/VALENTINE – Started over 20 years ago to showcase bull power that was available to ranchers to improve their herds, The dream was to shut down Main Street and fill it with pens of cattle. The “Main Event” has been held annually since and has continued to be a big hit for exhibitors and producers across the board. It has grown in size and continues to draw in large crowds. Other events include livestock judging, a livestock auction and a Running with the Bulls 5K. Vendors will sell crafts at the Connot Brothers Auction Building from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Feb 10 and a quilt show will be at the Nelsen Furniture on the same day. Food will be served for sale.
