America 250-Ohio is the statewide initiative commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026. The effort includes more than one-thousand events and experiences taking place throughout the year across all 88 counties to celebrate Ohio’s unique contributions to the American story while inviting residents and visitors alike to explore the communities, landmarks, and traditions that helped shape the nation.

These celebrations also provide opportunities for Ohioans to reconnect with family and friends, discover new destinations, and support the local businesses and organizations that help communities thrive. Visiting friends and relatives remains the top reason visitors come to Ohio, and summer events help showcase the best of what the state has to offer.

Fourth of July festivities are among the highlights featured in this year’s Ohio Summer Events Guide. Across the state, communities are hosting everything from fireworks displays and parades to flea markets, concerts, and ice cream socials. These celebrations complement more than 160 Signature Ohio Homecoming & Picnic events taking place throughout the summer, creating opportunities for Ohioans and visitors alike to experience local history, culture, and community traditions.

• Independence Day in Flag City, USA, July 3–4, in Findlay
• 4th of July Drone Show and Fireworks, July 4, in Columbiana
• Ice Cream Social, July 4, in Jackson
• Noble County 4th of July Car Show, July 4, in Caldwell
• Founders, Families and Freedom, July 4, in Wilmington
• 250th Celebration (Independence Day Concert & Picnic), July 4, in Fremont
• 250: America’s Legacy Celebrate Us!, July 10–11, in Marysville
