Maple Days

" "Through March 8/STURBRIDGE – 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wed. thru Sun. at Old Sturbridge Village. The Village’s working sugar camp demonstrates maple sugaring as it was done in early 19th-century New England. See the entire sugar-making process, from tapping the trees to “sugaring off,” and learn why maple sugar was more commonly used than maple syrup in early New England. Costumed historians will also cook period foods made with maple products and the tinner and cooper will make maple-related items. Juried Art Exhibition

" "Now through March 30/DENNIS – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (noon – 4 Sun) at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. The theme is “Why Cape Cod?” with 375 artworks submitted by 161 artists for consideration. Only 75 were selected for the exhibit.  Three awards ($300, $200 and $100 were chosen by the juror during the initial reception. This particular show was derived from three pillars: movement, mark making and visceral experience. Admission is $15, ages 13-18 is $7. https://www.ccmoa.org/

 

Malice Comedy Night

Irish Tenors Concert

" "March 8/WORCESTER – 8 p.m. at The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts. The Irish Tenors have been touring together since 1998, with sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall, Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and major concert halls throughout the world. Their faces and voices are familiar to PBS audiences through several specials, including the “Ellis Island” recordings that sold a million CDs and DVDs.  Their popular songs include “My Heart Will Go On” (from Titanic), “Fairytale Of New York”(previously recorded by Kirsty MacColl and The Pogues) and even Jimmy Kennedy’s “South Of The Border (Down Mexico Way)”. Dueling Pianos
