Rubber Ptarmigan Comedy Showcase
March 21/ANCHORAGE – 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Anchorage Museum.Featuring Alaskan stand-up comedians: Athena Nuff, Ben Peterson, Bryan Otten, Ida Taylor, Jake Armstrong, Joe Stolz and Matt Burgoon. Presented as part of the exhibition Tricksters and Sourdoughs: Humor and Identity in Alaska, now on view. Tricksters examines the distinctive ways Alaskans use humor as a coping mechanism and vehicle for creating and sharing culture. Parental discretion is advised. Recommended for ages 18+.
Artists of All Nations
Ongoing Dates/JUNEAU – Artists of All Nations is a free open studio opportunity in the Main Hall at the JACC from 1 – 5 pm, usually on the last Sunday of the month. Get inspired, meet other artists, and share your creativity at this monthly roundtable. Work on your art or start a new project and connect with other artists at this monthly open studio time. Arctic Harvest – Spring Farm Days
March 14, 22, 30/NORTH POLE – A true farm-to-bottle distillery. In true pioneer spirit we do it all; from planting and fertilizing the field, to harvesting and malting the grain, and fermenting and distilling the mash. The whole cycle is completed at our facility. We’re going green for the month of March, complete with a mint green cocktail special! Here’s our upcoming tasting room schedule:5-8 p.m. for cocktails and a pop up shop by Fireweed Boutique. on the 14th; a seed starting class by Hawks Greenhouse from 3-5pm and tasting room open 5-8pm. on 22nd; and a yoga class with Vi from 11-12pm and Bloody Mary Bar from 12-4pm.on the 30th.
