Aug. 23 – Sept. 2/GRAND ISLAND – Experience an authentic ranch rodeo, feel the thick wool of a sheep or watch a baby calf being born! More than 12,000 critters are ready to see you at the Fair. Jason Goodman and his incredible driving skill returns during the Draft Horse Show to showcase his beautiful and proud jet black Percherons. . Jason performs during each show Friday through Sunday; gate admission included when you buy before midnight, Aug. 22. Motorheads to microbrew-lovers! Find a BMX stunt show or tire changing contest, classic rock cover band or the Veterans Day celebration. Taste the new ‘State Fair Ale’ with…a BBQ sandwich! Championship pullers arrive for the tractor pull from the Nebraska Pullers Association and little squirts battle it out in the Pedal Pull. Teen favorites like the hypnotist Tyzen, the Slingshot, and Valentino’s pizza. Magical moments for littles such as a petting zoo and pony rides. Check out the Sustainability Pavilion and don’t forget to stop at the Ice Cream Parlour. And, snap a photo with your family at the new mural at Fair Circle for lasting memories.
Find as many as15,000 exhibits made with love by Nebraskans. Glass blowing, an Elvis tribute band and a nostalgic performance by The Drifters, Cornell Gunther’s Coasters, and The Platters. If you like country music, three evenings will present live Grandstand concerts by Brett Eldredge with special guest Devin Dawsonon on August 24 at 8 p.m. Maren Morris will take the stage August 30 at 8 .m. and Little Big Town will perform September 1, also at 8 p.m. Tickets for all three performances are available in the reserved Hot Country Bundle special price for $79. Gate admission is included in the bundle. Individual concerts are also available.
