Romance Under the Stars " "

Thru. Feb. 14/BONNER SPRING – Two seating’s: 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. at the location of the K.C. Renaissance festival. Couples will enjoy an Italian fine dining experience in an enchanting private heated igloo. Dinner starts off with a bruschetta topped with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and a balsamic vinaigrette. Then warm bread, a spinach salad with raspberries, red onions, feta cheese and a raspberry vinaigrette as well as an entrée choice of either chicken alfredo or cheese manicotti. Diners will also have a choice of either one bottle of red wine, white wine or non-alcoholic sparkling wine to enjoy with their meal. The meal is rounded out with a delicious bombolini dessert and champagne. Each couple will receive 2 champagne flutes and a box of chocolate covered strawberries with tickets.

Love Notes and Brush Strokes

Feb. 10/LINDSBORG – A chocolate lover’s affair and art auction, 7 p.m. at the J.O. Sundstrom Conference Center. Celebrate the 30th annual event with the Lindsborg Arts Council as it is their largest fundraiser for high school arts-related scholarships and community grants. Art pieces (donated by local artists and businesses) will be auctioned in both silent and live auctions, and Lindsborg’s 2024 Artist of the Year will be announced! Music for the event will be Jazz Tangent from Salina. Childcare will be provided with crafts and treats by the community library and child development center.

Dinosaur World Live

Feb. 15/TOPEKA – 6 p.m. at the Topeka Performing Arts Center. Dare to experience the dangers and delights of this roarsome interactive show for the whole family. Discover a pre-historic world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs. Meet a host of impressive creatures including every child’s favorite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus!  Tickets are $25-40 and available on ticketmaster.

 

Kansas Lawn and Garden Show

Feb. 16-18/TOPEKA – 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. (11-5 Sun.) at the Stormont Vail Events Center. Whether looking for ways to decorate, build a new one or explore creative landscaping, visitors will find lots of ides with more than 100,000 square feet of displays to view.  Experts will be on hand to discuss ways you can improve your home and help the environment. New vendors coming this year will be providing items such as playground equipment and other backyard fun. Hands-on activities will keep the little ones entertained.
